Dr. Eseigbe Uwadia

Dr. Eseigbe Uwadia is an experienced Family Physician with over a decade of medical practice across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive and patient-centred care to individuals and families at every stage of life.

Dr. Uwadia completed medical school in Nigeria before moving to the United Kingdom, where he undertook specialist training in General Practice and obtained his MRCGP and Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He also holds Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP).

His broad clinical experience includes community family practice, adult and paediatric emergency medicine, urgent care, community psychiatry, care of older adults, and pre- and post-operative care. This diverse experience has given him a well-rounded approach to caring for patients with both acute concerns and ongoing or complex health needs.

His clinical interests include preventive healthcare and screening, chronic disease management, mental health, care of older adults, urgent medical concerns and medication management. He strongly believes in continuity of care and shared decision-making, taking time to understand each patient's individual concerns, priorities and circumstances.

Dr. Uwadia is delighted to join the Peterborough community and looks forward to caring for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. He aims to build trusted, long-term relationships with his patients and create a welcoming environment where they feel heard, respected and involved in their care.

His approach to Family Medicine is centred on a simple principle: listen carefully, treat the whole person, prevent illness where possible, and work together with patients toward better health and quality of life.
